Frances continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers, and this week we are again celebrating an unusual holiday -- Old Farmers Day. Frances aaked us to show our appreciation to our farmers by creating something farm-related today. I pulled out two CottageCutz stamp/die sets for my step card.
Check out some more rural life over at the CCEE Stampers blog.

NOW...
Let's get started HOPPING !!
For the second day of the Autumn Fun Blog Hop, I decided to do a technique that I just recently learned. It's sort of a combination of a gatefold card and an easel card. When it is closed, it just looks like your standard gatefold card with a belly band.
The MFP Stamp Shop set that I used on this card is Scarecrow.
I decided to make a second card today, using a technique to which I often return -- the Side Step Card.
The MFP Stamp Shop sets used on this card are Fall Apples and Lesson Learned.
Now it's time to visit the rest of the hop again. Here's the Design Team:
Lois (that's me)
Enjoy the Hop. Come back each day to be inspired! Get to work on the tutorials and show us what you make by Aug. 26, 3pm CT and don't forget to be commenting! Come back to the MFP Stamp Shop Blog on Aug. 27th to see if you are a winner!!

Let's get started !!
I decided that all my cards for this month's blog hop will be cards other than a standard A2 card. My card for today is a Side Step Card. I Googled "sea scene" to get the picture of the ocean for my tall section and used some sandy patterned paper for the two steps.
The stamped images and sentiment are from the stamp set Silly Shells.
Be sure to check out all the cards created by the Design Team members today. And comment often for more chances to win a free stamp set.

you to start your own Fun in the Sun. Get to work on the tutorials, show
us what you made by Feb. 12th and check back on Feb. 13, 2016, to see if
you are a winner.

Speedy Fox and Friends - My State
Today's Speedy Fox and Friends challenge on the Mark's Finest Papers blog is to make something depicting your state. In my back yard I have a hibiscus bush, and it just so happens that MFP,aHC has a brand-new stamp set filled with these beautiful flowers -- Humming Along. I confess I've never seen a hummingbird in my yard, but I Googled "hummingbirds in Florida" and found that three species of hummingbirds do indeed live in Florida. The ruby-throated hummingbird is the most populous.
We'd love to see what reminds you of YOUR state. Make a card and link it up on the MFP Blog -- you could win a free stamp set. If you use MFP stamps, you get two chances to win!
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers - Humming Along
Paper: MFP Evergreen Mist, Strawberry Freeze, Snow Storm Smooth, Deep Olive
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copic markers, Fiskars Grass border punch, MS Fence border punch

CCEE1235 - Back to School
Anne Harmon's last week as hostess of the CCEE challenges brings a very topical theme -- back to school. Because Anne loves RED, I decided to use it for the background of my desk and blackboard. The images are from a new set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company, called Lesson Learned. Last week on the front page of Splitcoaststampers was a technique for making a round step card that looked like fun. So I used that technique for my card.
If you'd like to play along with the team, check out the challenge on our blog and be sure to link up your card using Mr. Linky at the end of the post. If you upload to SCS or another internet site, be sure to use the keyword CCEE1235 so we can find you.
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers - Lesson Learned
Paper: MFP Premium Heavy White, Ripened Tomato, Licorice Whips, Snow Storm Smooth
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Worn Lipstick, Versamark

On my first card today I used a fun product called Mudd Puddles, which I found in a local stamp store near where my sister lives. I added some sparkly bubbles and a few rocks (from Scenic Selections).
I don't often make long cards, but I thought a little parade of tropical fish would look cute.
As a bonus to end the week, I made a card using a fifth MFP stamp set for August called Celebrate Big. I had seen a tutorial on Jackie Topa's blog some time ago for making a Side Step Dresser card, which I thought was so very clever. When I saw Celebrate Big, I thought I might try to do a variation of this "dresser card" to make a kitchen cabinet. Here is what I came up with:
I hope you've enjoyed all the cards created by the design team this month. Be sure to comment often to increase your chances of winning a free set.

Here we are on the last day of the MFP Blog Hop. I hope you have gotten some inspiration from the design team.
While my first card is technically a clean and simple one, it does have several layers.
My second card is a step card, but a little different than the others I made this month. The steps are in the center. I saw this type of card at a recent stamp show and thought I'd like to give it a try.
My friend's kitchen is decorated with items painted with chili peppers. I thought I'd give her these two cards in case she needs a few more!
Be sure to check out the rest of the design team members' blogs to see what they did with this "hot" set. And make sure you comment for your final chance to win a free stamp set this week.

Again I've got a relatively clean and simple card for today's set. After stamping the tree, I masked the card base using a Spellbinders die and sponged in the sky.
I then added the animals and the sentiments, then drew the frame.
I must be in a rut because my second card is another side step card. The giraffe and tree image is actually from the 5th stamp set for this month. It's called Above the Rest and coordinates very nicely with Wild and Free.
The sentiment is actually longer than what appears on my card, but it was too long to fit in the space. I think the shortened version still conveys the message!
Don't forget to check out the rest of the team members' blogs and comment to win a free stamp set.

My first card for today is a clean and simple one.
I added a few score lines to separate the oriental symbols and the cherry blossoms.
My second card is a side-step card, which is always fun. I used several of the images from today's set.
In addition I added an oriental coin.

Teapot Tuesday and Blog Win!
I recently visited a blog hop sponsored by Our Daily Bread Designs for their February release -- mainly because I wanted to see what the design team did with the ocean stamp, which I thought was outstanding. I figured I might as well throw my hat in the ring, so to speak, and commented on all the blogs -- maybe I'd win something. Well, what do you know -- I won the whole release, all three sets. Doing the happy dance here!!!
This week's Teapot Tuesday destination is South Carolina, where Robin, another teapotter, lives. Her husband recently died suddenly. If you'd like more information, here's the link to this week's tea party. Cindy related that Robin would one day like to have a condo on the beach, so I thought my newly-acquired ocean stamp would be perfect. Maybe this would be what she might see while sitting in her condo.
I don't know if you can drive on the beach in South Carolina, but here in Florida (particularly in Daytona Beach) cars drive up and down the beach all the time. That is Robin's yellow Mustang there on the sand!
