CCEE2021 - Mother, May I?
For this week's CCEE Stampers challenge, Kelly asked us to create a card based on a popular children's game or to create a card for a child. I initially struggled with trying to find an idea for a card based on a children's game, but I finally came up with the card game "Go Fish." And I just happened to have an old stamp set with that phrase in it. The rest of my card comes from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel set, Just Keep Swimming.
You can see the fish puff himself up in this little video.

CCEE2004 - Ice, Ice, Baby, Ice, Ice
"Baby, it's cold outside!" That's what Lynn told us this week. She asked the CCEE Stampers to show off their icy creations -- adding glitter or shine to make some shimmery winter beauties. I live in Florida, and we don't often see ice outside -- but I did my best with this challenge.
Actually, I enjoyed making an icy card. I used a fun die -- the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer to show off this cute little Mama Elephant penguin who is learning to ice skate. As you can see by the second photo, he's having a little trouble staying up on his skates.
It may be a bit difficult to see, but I added some Stickles to the icicles at the top of the card and some Wink of Stella to the ice flow he's skating on.
Be sure to check out some more wintery cards at the CCEE Stampers blog.

CCEE1921 Dies, Dies, Dies
Frances continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers again this week. She tells us that she seldom creates a card these days that doesn't include at least one die in its creation. She challenged us this week to make a card using at least one die.
I, too, make many of my cards using dies; so this was not a challenge for me at all. Mine today uses the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer die and a fun stamp set from Kindred Stamps called Arabian Nights.
When you pull the tab, the magic happens.
I even made a video to show how the mechanism works.
Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see which dies the rest of the team used on their cards for this challenge.

CCEE1905 - Thank You
Liz ended her month as CCEE Stampers hostess by telling us that January is National Thank You Month. So, she asked us to make a thank-you card and send an unexpected thank you to someone whose small act of kindness has not gone unnoticed by us. I am going to give this card to my son who installed a new light fixture for me. When was the last time you sent a thank-you note to your kid?
My son is a big fan of the TV show which inspired the new Kindred Stamps set called Science Geeks. If you are familiar with this TV show, you know that the male characters enjoy all kinds of comic books and frequently dress up as their favorites. I used a very clever Lawn Fawn die set to create this Reveal Wheel card.
When you move the wheel, the sentiment changes.
Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more cards of gratitude.

Kindred Stamps New Release - Science Geeks
As a big fan of the TV series that influenced this brand-new stamp set from Kindred Stamps, I was so happy to be able to create some cards for Release Week! Science Geeks has my kind of nerdy characters. I have three cards to share with you today.
My first is an Explosion card. How appropriate is this type of card for a sentiment that says "I hope your birthday goes off with a bang!" The front looks pretty normal, but . . .
. . . when you open the card, you get the explosion! BANG!
My second card is dedicated to the astrophysicist in the group of friends. The designer paper I used for this card is associated with another Kindred Stamps product -- the Space Heroes box, but it worked perfectly for this card!
For my third card, I used another brand-new toy in my arsenal -- a door die from Lawn Fawn. I used the Kindred Stamps Brick Stencil for the wall. This card was inspired by one of the many idiosyncrasies of this fandom.
I must admit I had lots of fun with this set, and you will probably see many more creations from me using it in the future.
