Day 6 Sneak Peek - Sending Hugs

Today's sneak peek is a simple little mini slimline card made using the new Short Rectangles Crosshatch set, which has six nested rectangular dies and a strip of flowers.  I used the two larger dies on this card, as well as a couple of dies from the Hearts Crosshatch set and the Sending Love set.

One more sneak peek tomorrow and then our New Release Blog Hop.  Be sure to check that out because you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Karen Burniston website!

CCEE2207 - National Wedding Month

Liz winds up her month-long stint as hostess for the CCEE Stampers by telling us that February is also National Wedding Month.  She asked us to make a wedding card to send to a couple who might be tying the knot during this month of love.

I don't know anyone getting married any time soon, but at least now I've got a card -- just in case!  This card is a mix of something old and something new, nothing borrowed but something blue.  The stamps are old, as is the Karen Burniston Katherine Label die inside.  The "new" is the Karen Burniston Crosshatch - Heart die on the front.  And the blue is quite apparent!

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more wedding inspiration.

CCEE2205 - Valentine's Day

Liz continues her month as hostess for the CCEE Stampers this week.  Valentine's Day is a big card-sending holiday so Liz asked us to make a special Valentine's card or a friendship card using a style you love and mail it to someone you love.

Two types of cards I love to make are pop-up cards and slimline/mini slimline cards.  Today's card is both!

I used some brand-new Karen Burniston dies on this card -- the Heart Collage Pop-Up and the Crosshatch - Hearts.

Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more Valentine's Day love.

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge -- MOD Valentine

It's time again for the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.  This month's theme is "MOD Valentine."  We were to make a Valentine card in colors other than red or pink.  As purple is one of my most favorite colors, that's the color I chose.

Using several new dies from the January release, I created this slimline Valentine card.  The front has two cute little monkeys swinging on the branches across the top, sending you some love.

On the inside I used the new Heart Collage pop-up.  As you can see, there are several different sizes of hearts in this cute set.   The previously released Photo Collage is one of my favorites; and, when Karen designed this smaller version, I was so happy.  Now I can combine it with a slimline card.  Also new is that large heart from the Crosshatch - Heart die.  It's the perfect place to add a little message of love.

We'd love for you to play along with the team and create a non-tradiitonal Valentine card for our #missionpoppable challenge.
