Frances continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers this week and tells us that today is Ride the Wind Day. This day was created to celebrate the anniversary of the first man-powered flight. There are so many things that rely on wind for them to work, and Frances asked us to include something that needs wind on our cards today. One of the things on my bucket list that I have accomplished was to ride in a hot air balloon. That's what I included on my card.
Be sure to check out some other wind-driven things over on the CCEE Stampers blog.

National Pigs Day
Vicky Gould is starting off her month as hostess for the CCEE Stampers celebrating a holiday I had never heard of before -- "National Pigs Day." This reminded me of a funny little story from when I was a kid. My brother Bob (who is 2 1/2 years younger than me) was ill. My uncle for some reason or other decided that Bob needed a pet to perk him up. He bought him a pig! BTW, we lived out in the country, so a pig might not be considered an unusual pet. BUT, the pig ran away shortly afterwards, and we could never find him. About a year later, someone said they saw a wild pig out in the woods. We were certain it was Bob's pig!
Anyway, here's my card for today's challenge.

CCEE1641 - World Sight Day
This week Joanne asked the CCEE Stampers to include glasses, eye charts, or a sentiment related to one's sight on our cards. I love this owl and his big eyes.

CCEE1633 - National Aviation Day
Our CCEE hostess this month Liz is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. It is also the birthday of Bill Clinton and Orville Wright. Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a proclamation to make it National Aviation Day, in honor of the Wright brothers. In their honor, Liz asked us to hunt down an image of something man has made fly in the air. It might be an airplane, helicopter, rocket, jet, or hot air balloon. If none of those were available, we could use a kite or a simple birthday balloon. Our bonus can be to make it a birthday card. I chose a hot air balloon -- in fact, two hot air balloons. AND . . . it's a birthday card!
See what the rest of the team found that can fly -- check out the CCEE Stampers blog.

Like my card yesterday, the one I made for the last day of the blog hop also was made using an Elizabeth Craft Designs die set, the Oval Pull Card.
Here's the inside of the card. To line up the scene on the front with the one on the inside, I first stamped the trees and the fisherman on the inside panel. Then I mounted the black panel on the front oval, laid a piece of waxed paper over the entire card, then mounted the white oval with removable tape on top of the waxed paper. Then I could line up the stamps (the trees and the fisherman) and stamp on the front. The waxed paper protected the underlying panels. I removed the waxed paper and adhered the white oval permanently on the black oval.
The MFP Stamp Shop sets used on this card were Get Reel and Tree Scene.
Please check out the rest of today's hop.

Today's card is a bit more complicated than my two earlier cards. I used a die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Hot Air Balloon as well as the MFP Stamp Shop set Hot Air Balloon on this card. Riding in a hot air balloon is one of the things I have crossed off my bucket list. It was a 50th birthday present from my late husband.
This inside of the card shows how I used the die set.
Here's the stamp set I used.
Please check out the rest of today's hop.

CCEE1547 - Universal Children's Day
Frances continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers blog again this week. She told us that tomorrow is Universal Children's Day and asked us to create a card featuring a child having fun of some type. This challenge really was a challenge for me. I have very limited children's stamps, but I finally found something that my kids did with their dad when they were young . . . fished.
I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Lucy Label pop-up card die for the inside of my card.
I'm sure the rest of the team had more choices of children's images, so pop on over to the CCEE Stampers blog to take a look.

SCS Inspiration Challenge - Candle Pinterest Board
The Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers is my favorite one of the week. For today's inspiration site, Audrie chose her Favorite Candles Pinterest Board. What wonderful choices we had for inspiration -- so much so that I actually made two projects -- one card and one tag.
For my card, I chose this gorgeous candle which reminded me of hyacinths, so I used my new ODBD Hyacinth set to create a birthday card in the colors on the candle.
I stamped the image twice and cut out the center frame, which I popped up on foam dots. I am entering this card in the Our Daily Bread Designs Anything Goes challenge.
For my tag, I chose these owl candles and used a new Elizabeth Craft Designs tag die called Tags & More 3 - Leaves. I cut the tag out twice, once in dark green and once in white. For the white one, I also used the leaves die at the top.
I love using googlie eyes on my owls. It makes them look wiser, don't you think?

Ink: Memento Grape Jelly, Tuxedo Black
Paper: Recollections Heavyweight White, SU Perfect Plum, MFP Stamp Shop Snow Storm Smooth, DCWV Silver Glitter paper, Paper Pizazz Soft Purple Fern

I'm not a coffee drinker, but that doesn't keep me from making a card for my friends who DO drink coffee. Here's my card for today's set, Java Time. For the front I stamped the smaller cup three times -- in colors taken from my patterned paper. After cutting them out, I made a slit in two of them and stacked them together.
For the inside, I used a Lucy Label Pop-Up die from Elizabeth Crafts for a bit of interest.

Continuing with my theme of Speedy TV Sketch Challenge with a Twist layouts, my first card today uses the layout from Sketch Challenge #47. The twist for this challenge was an outdoor theme.
I may have been pushing the envelope with this one, but butterflies and flowers do grow/exist outdoors. In addition, I rotated the layout and used a circle rather than a square for my focal image.
I used another Karen Burniston Pop It Ups accordion die for my second card. This time it is the Circle set. I had a DCWV Far East patterned paper pad, which has some very pretty oriental papers. I cut the frame using a coordinating die set and added some pearls at the corners. The birthday sentiment on the front is from another MFP oriental set, Branch of Blossoms.
This is the card opened so you can see all three panels.
Here's the Design Team:
Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.
