Poetry

Today is my final CCEE Stampers challenge for the month.  April is National Poetry Month, and today is Poem in Your Pocket Day.  I'm asking that you create a card using a poem as your inspiration.  For my inspiration, I chose Joyce Kilmer's Trees.  And, of course, I used an image from Stampin' Up's set Lovely as a Tree on my card.  (Not too original, I know!)

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree;

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more poetic creations.
