CCEE2022 - World Creativity Day

Kelly's final May challenge for the CCEE Stampers is to celebrate World Creativity Day (Saturday, May 30th), a day to embrace your own creativity and support each other in the crafting community.  She said:  "Let's make a card using YOUR favorite technique ~ the sky is the limit!  Just have fun and get creative!"  I don't know if you'd call interactive cards a "technique" or not, but it's my favorite kind of card to create.  So I'm saying it IS a technique.

I used the Karen Burniston Triple Flip die and some cute Paper Nest Dolls gnomes to make my card.

Back to Space!

Hopefully, today is the day that astronauts will again be blasted into space from U.S. soil!  If the weather is cooperative, two astronauts will leave Cape Kennedy in a Space X rocket on the way to the International Space Station.  In honor of this event, I made a card using the Karen Burniston Rocket Pop-Up die and Honey Bee Stamps' Far Out Friends stamp set.

I've been bitten by the slimline card bug and experimenting with some of Karen Burniston's dies.  I'm rather pleased with this one!

When you open the card, the rocket ship pops up out of the card.  Pretty cool, no?

C4C36 - Photo Month

Apparently, May is Photo month, and the Crazy4Challenge challenge this week is to include something that relates to photos this week . . . a card including a real photo, faux photos, selfie style stamps, cameras, etc.

One of my favorite Karen Burniston dies is the Photo Collage Pop-Up, and one of my favorite book/movie franchises is Lord of the Rings.  I combined these two loves on my card this week.  Kindred Stamps has a few stamp sets that were perfect for my card.

CCEE2021 - Mother, May I?

For this week's CCEE Stampers challenge, Kelly asked us to create a card based on a popular children's game or to create a card for a child.  I initially struggled with trying to find an idea for a card based on a children's game, but I finally came up with the card game "Go Fish."  And I just happened to have an old stamp set with that phrase in it.  The rest of my card comes from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel set, Just Keep Swimming.

C4C535 Sketch Challenge

I'm continuing this week as guest designer for the Crazy4Challenges blog -- this week's challenge is a sketch challenge.

I love these Honey Bee Stamps Build-a-Bee stamps and dies, and I thought they would look cute for this challenge.

The Karen Burniston Rockin' Rectangle is actually the perfect pop-up for this card as well.  It brings the large panel from the sketch into the inside of the card.

CCEE2020 Asthma Awareness Month

Kelly continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers and told us that May is Asthma Awareness Month.  She said, "Let's bring the awareness to 339.4 million people worldwide affected by asthma by creating a card where you need to use your lungs!  Think blowing up a balloon blowing out birthday candles, a dandelion, a whistle."  I chose the dandelion.

A favorite stamping technique of mine is Triple Stamping.  I have just one dandelion stamp set, which fortunately has two different images on it.

C4C514 - Slimline Cards

I'm continuing as guest designer for the Crazy4Challenges blog this week.  Slimline Cards seem to be very popular at present, especially with a few companies releasing dies especially for the use of creating this style of card.  For our challenge this week, create a Slimline card.  A Slimline card measures 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" and should fit into a standard business-sized envelope.  Fortunately, I had just ordered some slimline dies from Trinity Stamps and used two of the sets on my card.   I had purchased those cute prehistoric critters from Lawn Fawn last year, and this is the first time I've used them.
