Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" Back to School

 I tried a new-to-me technique for my Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" challenge card this month.  It's called a Pinwheel Tower Card.  I saw several of these on Facebook, and I just had to give it a try.  As you can see from the top, there is definite more than one score on this card.

So I pulled out some images that would work for "back to school" for the four panels.

CCEE1919 Mother's Day or Not

Frances continues this week with another challenge for the CCEE Stampers.  She reminds us that Mother's Day is this coming Sunday in many parts of the world, including the USA, Canada, and Australia.  She asks us to create a card suitable for a mother -- it doesn't, however, have to be a Mother's Day card.

While my card would be suitable for a mother, it is a birthday card rather than a Mother's Day card.

CCEE1513 - Out Like a Lamb

For Anne's last challenge, Anne reminded the CCEE Stampers that March goes out like a lamb.  So, if we didn't have a lamb image, we could use the theme of farm animals on our cards.  I found that I had one lamb image -- in a retired Mark's Finest Papers set.   As Easter is right around the corner, I made an Easter card.  My layout is from Page Maps.

Tutorial Time - Wreath from Punched Pieces

I had a lot of fun with today's Tutorial Time challenge, making a wreath from punched pieces -- in fact, I wrote the tutorial, which you can find below and also on Speedy TV.  Here's my card:

Wreath from Punched Pieces

 Some time ago in a card magazine I saw a wreath made out of punched snowflakes and thought it was so clever, I wanted to make one.  Over the years I have made wreaths out of both snowflakes and, more traditionally, branches.  

Supplies needed:

Cardstock  (I used MFP August Greens and Sherwood Forest)

Punch (I used a Martha Stewart branch punch)

Circle nesties

Glue  (I used Aleen's Clear Gel Tacky Glue)

Pearls

Ribbon

STEP ONE

Punch a large number of branches from the predominant green color.

Also punch some branches from a darker shade of green.

STEP TWO

Cut base for wreath using two Circle Nestabilities dies – or you could use two circle punches.

Gather punched pieces.

STEP THREE

Apply a bead of glue to circle piece.

Lay down a layer of punched pieces.

Apply glue to darker green pieces . . .

. . . and intersperce among the lighter green pieces.

Add another layer of pieces.

STEP FOUR

Continue adding pieces until you are satisfied.  Then add some pearls as “holly berries.”

Add bow.

STEP FIVE

Complete card as desired.

VARIATION:

Here is a wreath using a snowflake punch for a different look. . .

 . . . and using white cardstock with the snowflake punch.
