CCEE2234 Intl. Toy Testing Day & Karen Burniston New Release Sneak Peek Day 4

Kelly Santi started her month-long stint as hostess for the CCEE Stampers challenge by telling us that today is International Toy Testing Day.  She asked us to make a card with a toy/toys on them.  Think Christmas cards and Santa's workshop, too.

Many years ago I purchased some Art Impressions Doors & Windows stamps.  The fun part of this series is that there are many add-on sets to create different themes, one of which was a Christmas Toy Shop.  I combined the Art Impressions stamps with a set of stamps/dies from Pink & Main to create this delightful toy store.

AND, when you go into the store (by opening the card) you'll find a couple of dies from the new Karen Burniston release, which will be available next Monday.  The fireplace is actually a pop-up, but I had wanted to make a card with a flat fireplace.  This was my opportunity.

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog for more toy cards -- and make sure you check out the new dies from Karen Burniston.

C4C610 - Die Cuts Only

This week's Crazy4Challenges challenge is one after my own heart -- create a card that is created using dies only, no stamps.  If you must, you can use a stamp for the sentiment; but bonus points if you use dies.  Bonus points for me!

My card for this challenge is a  Christmas slimline, using various dies from Pink & Main, Honey Bee Stamps, and CottageCutz.

CCEE2112 - Pencil Day

Frances told the CCEE Stampers that March 30th is Pencil Day.  For our challenge this week, we were to feature pencils, colored pencils, crayons, etc., on our card creations.   Either use this medium to color our image, or feature an image of pencils, crayons, etc.

It's been a long time since I've used colored pencils on my cards.  So it was a treat to pull out my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and get to work.  I recently purchased these Pink and Main Tall Flowers and thought they would be the perfect image on which to use pencils.  I like the way they look on the Pink and Main slimline plaid die cut.

CCEE2046 - Dear Santa Letter Week

Christmas is right around the corner, and children will be writing their letters to Santa Claus soon.  Kelly informed the CCEE Stampers that the second week in November is Dear Santa Letter Week.  She wanted us to create a card showcasing a letter to Santa.

I'm not sure if you're on Santa's naughty list or his nice list, but he's holding somebody's long letter in his hand here.  He's also got some help from Mrs. Claus and one of his elves, all from a cute Pink and Main stamp set.

Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more letters to Santa.

Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" Challenge -- Any December Holiday

The Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" Challenge for December is to make a card for any December holiday.  The biggest holiday in December is obviously Christmas, so that's where I went.  I love making pop-up box cards, and I found a cute stamp set from Pink and Main to use for the elements.  Santa is checking his list to see who's been naughty and who's been nice.  Looks like you made the Nice list!   I've seen that several die companies have produced dies to make this particular style of card, but I still prefer doing it myself.

Check out the Scor-Pal blog for more December celebration.
