MFP New Set - Lots of Words

While I'm not officially a part of the Mark's Finest Papers blog hop today, I did make two cards using today's set -- Lots of Words.  This particular set has two images, a butterfly and a sprig of flowers; and, as the name of the set implies, lots of words.  I stamped the butterfly twice -- once on the card and once on a sheet of vellum.  After coloring it (on the back of the vellum), I cut it out and glued it in the center with a couple of glue dots.  I used some patterned paper from a DCWV matstack I bought several years ago, adding a couple of pearls.  I used the Happy Birthday sentiment.

For my second card, I used a new Sizzix die set I recently bought -- Framelit Flip-Its.  What I like about these dies are that, not only do you get the die to cut the card base, you also get a number of other dies -- including two which cut layers slightly smaller than the base.  There is no need for measuring your patterned paper if you layer paper.

Be sure to check out the Blog Hop, which you can start at the Mark's Finest Papers blog.  Our designers have worked hard to bring you some lovely creations.
