Stampin'B's Challenge #28 - Halloween

Vicky’s Halloween Challenge was so timely. I’m in the process of making about 90 Halloween cards for the residents of the assisted living facility where my mom lives. This one has somewhat non-traditional Halloween colors.

I stamped the Stampscape moon and clouds with Not Quite Navy onto white cardstock. Then I stamped the tree silhouette from SU Nature Silhouettes over it, sponging in some black at the bottom. The three small bats are from MFT’s Fright Night. After adding a little more grass with a small Rubber Stampede stamp, I sponged in some more Not Quite Navy at the bottom of the clouds down to the grass. I made the background DP by stamping a Michaels $1 stamp of bats onto the Bashful Blue. The sentiment is from the SU Grateful Greetings set from their Holiday Mini-Catalog and matted it in black.

Of course, this year I won’t be home for Halloween. I’ll be at Faith’s Stampin’ Retreat!

Lois, this is so fabulous. I love the midnight scene and the bats are the perfect compliment to the eerie moonlight. Love the blue that you've used and the sentiment is perfect. Awesome card...
