CCEE1448 - Telescoping Image Technique

Maryann continues as hostess for the CCEE Stampers this week and has asked us to make a card using the Telescoping Image technique.  You can find a tutorial for this technique here.  I enjoy using different techniques on my cards, so this challenge was fun.

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see the cards made by the rest of the design team.

All four winners will be announced on Saturday, November 29, 2014, on the MFP Stamp Shop blog. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. (HINT: The more you comment, the more chances you have to win; and comments on the MFP blog count twice!) The deadline for commenting is 10 PM EST on Friday,
November 28, 2014.

When I first looked at today's set, Crisp Winter, I thought of a big stained glass window; and it reminded me of an Arched Window die I have.  While I didn't actually use the die to cut out my shape (it was just a bit too narrow), I did use it to draw the shape.  The branch on the bottom panels of my window is from another MFP set, Chill in the Air.  I created the snowflakes using masking fluid.  I wrote a tutorial for this technique, which you can see here.

I am a guest designer for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  I took that opportunity to show off another image from today's set.  This is my sample card for the challenge.

I actually made two similar cards; this one was inspired by the sketch but did not exactly match the layout.

Be sure to check out the rest of the MFP design team to see how they used Crisp Winter.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but that doesn't keep me from making a card for my friends who DO drink coffee.  Here's my card for today's set, Java Time.  For the front I stamped the smaller cup three times -- in colors taken from my patterned paper.  After cutting them out, I made a slit in two of them and stacked them together.

For the inside, I used a Lucy Label Pop-Up die from Elizabeth Crafts for a bit of interest.

I made a second card using my Circle Flip-Its die from Stephanie Barnard/Sizzix.  The birthday greeting is from another MFP set, Bearded Iris.

Please check out the cards made by the rest of the MFP team.
