C4C595 - Mini Slimline Card

Just like Slimline Cards, Mini Slimline Cards are also becoming very popular.  For our challenge this week, the Crazies were to create a Mini Slimline Card.  Typically, Mini Slimline Cards are either 3 1/2" x 6" or 3" x 6".  More info on Mini Slimline Cards can be found in the Files section of the Slimline Card Addicts Facebook Group.

I used another one of the Whimsey Slimline background papers on my card, cutting it down to fit a Mini Slimline Card.  This set of papers is called Enchanted Forest.  Those cute little Lawn Fawn gnomes are just the right size to walk down that path.

CCEE2130 - International Tiger Day

I'm concluding my month as hostess for the CCEE Stampers with a challenge which allowed me to use an old favorite stamp from MFP Stamps, which went out of business many years ago.  Today is International Tiger Day, so I asked the team to include a tiger (or other cat) on their cards -- tiger, lion, their own little tabby.

One of my favorite go-to dies from Karen Burniston is the Katherine Label Pop-Up, a very generic die.  I made a window card so you can see the tiger through the opening, surrounded by all that jungle foliage.

When you open the card, the mechanism on the inside pops up the tiger in all his glory.

I've enjoyed my month as hostess.  I hope you check out the CCEE Stampers blog for more tiger creations.

C4C594 - Thread the Needle Day

Frances told the Crazies that tomorrow will be Thread the Needle Day.  For our challenge this week, we were to incorporate the theme "Sewing" into our cards.  We could use sewing theme images/words: sewing-themed patterned papers, or actually sewing of any type on our cards.  I actually did a little of each one on my card.  The images and sentiments on the front and inside are from a stamp set I've had for quite a while, and I pierced holes around the circle and used some red thread to sew the trim.

And you can see the sewing elements on the blue paper on the front and inside of my card.  That Creek Bank Creations card base (Angel Side Circle Card) is a fun one with which to play.

Check out the Crazy4Challenges blog for some more sewing items.

CCEE2129 -- National Hot Dot Day

Continuing with my CCEE challenges, I informed the team that yesterday (7/21) was National Hot Dog Day.  I asked them to include this national treasure on their cards; or, if they didn't have a hot dog image, they could use any kind of fast food item.

Fortunately, Karen Burniston has a set of charms which includes a hot dog; so I used it and the rest of the Fast Food Charms on my card.

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creations over on the CCEE Stampers blog.

C4C593 - Sketch Challenge

This week's Crazy4Challenges sketch is a slimline card.

I recently bought some scenic slimline background papers from Whimsey Stamps.  I used one of them (from the set called Frozen) on today's card.  Even though it's 90 degrees outside, it's always a good time to make a Christmas card.  These cute images are from Paper Nest Dolls.

CCEE2128 - Cow Appreciation Day

Continuing as hostess for the CCEE Stampers, I told them that it's Cow Appreciation Day and asked that they put some kind of farm animal (cow or otherwise) on their cards.

I made a card that could welcome a new neighbor (with a bit of humor).

Be sure to stop over to the CCEE Stampers blog to see what the rest of the team created for this challenge.

C4C592 -- Don't Step on a Bee Day

This week the Crazies are celebrating "Don't Step on a Bee" Day -- good advice, don't you think.  For our challenge this week, we were to create a card that includes at least one bee on it.  My card has several!      These particular ones are from Honey Bee Stamps, as are the flowers.

CCEE2127 -- Dotsy's Birthday

Today is my sister's birthday.  So in her honor, I asked the CCEE Stampers to use something that begins with each letter of her name on their cards.  Her name is DOTSY.

This is my card in Dotsy's honor.  (BTW, Dotsy is also a stamper.)

D - Diamond-shaped die-cuts / Daisies

O - Orange (one of my very favorite colors)

T - Thinking about you sentiment

S - Slimline card

Y - Yellow

I carried the yellow daisies onto the inside of the card.

Check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see how the rest of the team handled my sister's name.

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge -- Tag Books

The Karen Burniston Designer Challenge for July is to use one of the KB Tag Books -- either as the card itself or as an element inside a standard-size card.  I went the second route, using the Circle Tag Book inside my A2 card.

The front of my card lets you know that July is National Picnic Month.  Using the Alphabet set, I spelled out JULY.  Then I added a picnic blanket and some other picnic elements. "National Picnic Month" was done with a label maker.

After cutting the grass panels using one of the dies in the Nature's Edges set, I glued in the Circle Tag Book and added some more picnic items -- a watermelon slice, some fruit, a cupcake and a pie from various KB die sets.

I hope you like my tribute to National Picnic Month.

C4C591 - Picnic Month/Barbecue Day

Apparently July is Picnic Month and the 4th of July is Barbecue Day, so the challenge for the Crazy4Challenge team members is to create a card incorporating either a picnic or barbecue theme.   I recently picked up some BBQ stickers at Hobby Lobby, and they were perfect for my challenge card.  The sentiment, picnic blanket and cute little parade of ants are from Karen Burniston.

The Hobby Lobby stickers fill up the inside of my card, adhered strategically on the new Karen Burniston Flower Pivot Panels.

Check out the Crazy4Challenges blog for some more picnic/BBQ fun.

CCEE2126 National Ice Cream Month

I'm the hostess this month for the CCEE Stampers.  I'm starting off the month with a yummy challenge.  According to that wacky holiday chart, July is National Ice Cream Month, and July 1st is Creative Ice Cream Flavors Month.  My challenge to the team is to include some ice cream on your card.

I'm using my favorite new die from Karen Burniston on my card (the Waterfall Card) -- along with a "build-it" set of stamps I bought a long time ago at a stamp show.  As you pull the tab on the side, you are "building" that banana split ice cream sundae.

Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more yummy treats!

Scor-Pal "More Than One Score -- Patriotic

The 4th of July is right around the corner, so I made a patriotic card for this month's Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" challenge.

I recently purchased some patriotic stamps & dies from Taylored Expressions.  After making my inverted Center Step Card, I added the "God Bless the USA" and small strip sentiments.  I thought the addition of the acetate and patriotic stickers took this card over the top.

Be sure to check the Scor-Pal blog to see what the rest of the team did for July.
