Speedy TV's Christmas Card Challenge & a Sneak Peek

I don't know if you've seen the Christmas Card Challenge over on Speedy TV or not.  But it's a fun way to get a head start on your Christmas cards without breaking a sweat.  It started back in January, and each person participating chose how many cards they would do each month for the challenge.  Then, at the end of the year, there would be a whole stack of Christmas cards.  For my July card, I made four cards (my target each month) with a brand-new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company, called Presents, which will be released next week.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and then again on a piece of Christmas DP.  The only part of the package that is paper-pieced is the bottom of the box.  The lid and ribbon are both colored with Copic markers.  Then I cut a strip of the same DP, using a deckle blade for my cutting tool, and matted it with the green.

Here are all four of my cards, with different DP on each one.

Be sure to check out our Blog Hop next week.  The Senior Design Team from Mark's Finest Papers will be showing off creations made with the entire new release.

Stamps:  Mark's Finest Papers - Presents
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Cottage Ivy
Paper:  Mark's Finest Papers Deep Scarlet, Seeds of Thyme, Snow Storm Smooth; various Cloud 9 Designs DP
Accessories:  Copic markers, Deckle blade for cutting tool
