Gift Card Box

Yesterday I was part of a joint blog hop with Technique Junkie Newsletter and Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company. I was was totally blown away with one of the projects done by a fellow MFP design team member, Geri Utterback. She made a gift card box from one of the tutorials on the Technique Junkie 3D and Fun Folds CD. I knew I had to make one of those boxes, and here it is.

I used MFP Cherry Slush and Greener Green cardstock and some Paper Pizazz designer paper for the panels.

The sentiment on the front is from a retired MFP set, but the Santa on the inside is from a mini set called Snowball Fun. I "borrowed" Geri's chimney idea for the card holder, inking up the Sizzix Bricked embossing folder with SU Whisper White ink before I ran the cardstock through my Cuttlebug. I used some Detail White embossing powder to bring out the pattern of the bricks.

I will be making several more of these gift card boxes because I tend to give many gift cards at Christmas, and these boxes are so much more creative than an envelope! Thanks so much, Geri, for your wonderful inspiration.
