Lynn starts her month as hostess for the
CCEE Stampers with a fun challenge to honor "Old Stuff" Day. We were to make a card or project making use of some of our earliest stamps of our collection, or make use of old supplies in our stash, or a vintage image of something from the past. The first stamp set I bought from Stampin' Up was Fishy Friends. The "seaweed" is the octopus from that set.
I remember that set. Not sure if I owned it or not. Don't seem to be able to find it if I do. Too bad the oldest thing around my house is my brain.. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your card.
I remember when this cute little guy was all the rage!! At one of the first large shoebox swaps I attended, there must have been at least 5 cards we created with this sweet fishy!! Great work, Lois!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved this set, but haven't used it in a long time. How clever to use the tentacles as the seaweed. Another of your brilliant ideas!!! WOW!
ReplyDeleteOne of my first sets too...still have it. Love your "fishy" card, Lois!!!
ReplyDeleteI have that set too, love your card
ReplyDeleteI think I have that set too, it sure was popular.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately I never bought this one....it really makes for a sweet card...love how you used the octopus tentacles for the grass....VERY clever
ReplyDeleteHaha! I didn't have that set, but my friend did so I remember it. Isn't it fun to pull out old stamps and give them new life? Your octopus "seaweed" is so clever.
