This week CCEE Stampers challenge hostess asked us to get out our acrylics and ink. She wanted us to create a background using inks, but no stamps or embossing folders. In addition, she wanted something acrylic on our cards/projects. I decided to try a technique I had seen on Splitcoaststampers, Faux Barn Board, which uses acrylic paint, re-inker, and white glue. The panel at the top of my card is the result. Am I being immodest if I say I like it?
Check out the creations by the rest of the team by visiting the CCEE Stampers blog.

ReplyDeleteOf course you should like it....actually you should love it....fabulous work, Lois
ReplyDeleteI like it, too! What a wonderful design, Lois!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on that faux barn wood. I have never been that successful at that technique.
ReplyDeleteYOu are not being immodest..I love this technique, and you sure nailed it. What a wonderful card....and using a shade of orange too!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Lois -if that was the first time you've tried faux barn board -well, all I can say is that it was at least my third attempt if not my fourth (trying all sorts of different glues and types of white acrylic) before I used any of it on a card. Yours looks super - and goes so well with the antique look of the clock face.
