Frances told the CCEE Stampers that April 28 was National Astronomy Day and asked us to create a card/project which includes stars in some way. It just so happens that back in December I gave myself a Christmas gift of a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Shine On, which is filled with stars and has a matching die set.
I encourage you to go star gazing at the CCEE Stampers blog!
Love that sentiment and the effect of the stars on the deep bkgd color....truly stellar
ReplyDeleteditto on the sentiment, love the contrast of the larger yellow stars with the small ones in the background.
ReplyDeleteYour background paper was perfect for that sentiment...love those stars too!
ReplyDeletePerfect dp for this challenge and nice sentiment.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a lotta stars, Lois! Those stamped stars are so pretty! Great sentiment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous "starry, starry night" you have created, Lois. Great DP to use with the die-cut stars. We don't always get so see a lot here because of light pollution - so this reminds me of when I was in the south of France in the middle of nowhere and slept out under the stars. The French expression for sleeping in the open air is actually "to sleep with the beautiful stars".
ReplyDeleteThis could be a tribute to a Vincent van Gogh painting, I couldn't resist playing Don McLeans song Starry Starry Night for this post.
ReplyDeleteFabulous starry background for your frilly gold stars. Your wonderful design reminds me of an old Texas tune: The stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas! Great design, Lois!
