I'm not an official part of the Blog Hop today or tomorrow, but thanks for stopping by. I do have some cards featuring today's sets to show you. The two using Gears to You are both rather clean and simple -- and all four of my cards would be appropriate for a guy. For the first one, I inked up an acrylic block, spritzed it with a little water, and stamped it in the center of the card. Then I stamped the gears and sentiment.
The only stamping on my second card is the sentiment. The background is embossed and the gears are die cuts.
I've also got two cards made with the other (coordinating) set for today, Gear Up. Both of these cards are a bit busier than the first two. Gear Up contains a background stamp and one sentiment. I stamped the background in black and colored in the gears with metallic pens, cutting out the full image and layering it on both silver and copper papers. I tied a silver ribbon in a knot (no bows for guys!) and then popped up the sentiment panel, which also includes a die cut of a gear).
My second card is one-layer, with some die-cuts and copper twine added. The sentiment is from the Gears to You mini set.
Here's the Design Team for today:
Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.
