The mini set this month is Lucky Duck, and that's the set being featured today.  When I started making my card for today, I used the materials on my desk -- the purple base and white mat layer.  I had cut them out for something else and wound up not using them.  So, while you might not think about purple when ducks are involved, I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out.

I again used the Square Flip-Its Framelits for my second card today, along with a couple of orange scraps of DP.

I'm not sure how I would use this card, but into my stash it goes!

Be sure to check out the rest of the hop today -- the last day.  If you want to go back and make some more comments to increase your chances of winning a free set, please feel free.  I'm sure all the designers will welcome you back.  I hope you got some inspiration looking at our creations this week.  We had fun presenting them for you.

  6. Both cards are beautifu and so much fun! What a super image! I would use the second card easily for a birthday, (Happy Birthday ducky or me ducks), which are English expressions. Great for Easter/Spring, and if ever someone hurt themselves...."You should have..(ducked).....get well soon! An apology card too, "I 'goosed' over this" let your imagination run wild!!!!!

  13. Hi Lois, I procrastinated this week and didn't get around to commenting on all of the blog hop posts but I wanted to come tell you that I looked through yours and I just absolutely love the work you did this week. Your Foo Dog bookmarks are adorable and you're right, the images are the perfect shape for a bookmark. I just love the way you made the birds fly off the page on your Birds of the Orient card! What an elegant card. And I never would have thought of adding feathers to the sweet little bird on the birdcage is card. That was perfect!

Your Medallion cards are stunning. I love the way you layered the first card, added the bling, and gave it a metallic look with the silver paper. Your flip card is brilliant. I didn't even think of just using part of the image but it works beautifully! Your Fairy cards are so pretty. Your coloring is beautiful and I love the way that the little silhouettes look almost translucent. Your purple duck card is adorable, but of course I would say that since purple is my favorite color! I love the orange card too. The stripes and polkadots together are super cute! Great job this week!
