Both of my cards today are clean and simple -- and black-and-white. I don't know if you're a Harry Potter fan or not (if not, you won't have a clue about what I'm going to say); but the first time I saw today's set, Chill in the Air, all I could think of was the "Whomping Willow." My first card features this magnificent landmark of Hogwarts.
My second card is also just black and white, although it does have a couple more layers. The sentiment is the focal image.
I think Chill in the Air was my favorite set this month. I decided to make two more black-and-white cards with it to make a gift set. I used some images from two other MFP sets, Scenic Selections and Autumn Friendships to complete the cards.
Be sure to check out the rest of the design team members' blogs for more inspiration. And don't forget to comment when you visit. You might just win a free stamp set from this month.

ReplyDeleteI am so loving these images!
ReplyDeleteHi Lois! I'm so sorry I'm hopping late this month but I just wanted you to know that i looked at all your hop projects and absolutely LOVED them. You are SO talented! I loved the way you incorporated the whole entire Happy New year stamp set on just one side-step card! And the stylish woman fit on there perfectly...brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe two tiger cards were beautiful. i never would have thought of using the bamboo embossing folder like that. It worked perfectly!
LOVE love love the kitty calendar!! And I love the idea of using an already made calendar and just incorporating the stamps into the pages. I might be making some mini calendars for Christmas this year now too!
The duck hunting cards were the perfect masculine cards!
The two out on the town cards were gorgeous!!! I love your coloring!!!!
Chill In The Air was my favorite stamp set this month too! Your cards are stunning. And you're TOTALLY right about the whomping willow tree!! I didn't see that until you mentioned it!! Did you just freehand the outside line around that first card? I LOVE the affect! Whoever received that card set will be a lucky person!!

Oh wow! I can totally see the whomping willow now. All we need is a miniature car to get stuck in the branches. I also really love how you placed the fences in front of the tree. Very classy!
