I am the hostess for the CCEE Stampers challenges for the month of September, which in my family has lots of birthdays -- my daughter, my daughter-in-law, two grandsons, a niece, and me. So for my first challenge for the month I chose a birthday card. My card is actually a CASE of a card made by Charlene Merrick (LilLuvsStampin on Splitcoast-stampers), who is currently on hiatus from the CCEE Stampers. Charlene posted this card last month for a Clean and Simple challenge. We were to CASE a card by a former CAS design team member. So actually, my card is a CASE of a CASE!
I would invite you to pop over to the CCEE Stampers blog and see the birthday cards from the rest of the team.
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers - Glad Glads
Paper: MFP Premium Heavy White, scraps of other cardstock and DPs
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Hexagon punch
I really like this case of a case in these pretty colored scraps! The octagons are such fun! Happy Birthday to you Lois, and to your DIL.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely stylish, fun CAS card, Lois. Hexagons are a great way of using up scraps, especially because they make one think of quilts. Unless you had layering punches, which I doubt, I'm impressed at how neatly you have matted them! Any time so far I've used them, I haven't made the time to go that extra mile.
ReplyDeleteSince I have a bunch of birthdays this month too I'll probably be using some of your other challenges for birthday cards!!
Love the designer papers you chose, Lois. Hope you had a very Happy Birthday!
