September Blog Hop!
This month's New Stamp Set Releases are:
Buried Treasure Featured September 25
Going Batty Featured September 26
Autumn Splendor Featured September 27
Tweet That Featured September 28
Please hop along with us! You have a chance to win one of the above stamp sets! Just comment on the DT members' blogs (don't forget this one) each day for more chances to win! (You do NOT have to comment on all the blogs each day! The names are drawn randomly!) All four winners will be announced on September 29, 2012 on the Mark's Finest Papers blog. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. (HINT: The more you comment, the more chances you have to win and comments on the MFP blog count twice!) The deadline for commenting is 11PM EST on Friday September 28, 2012.
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for pirates -- remember Capt. Jack Sparrow? Or maybe it was just Johnny Depp! Anyway, this is such a cute set -- pirates, treasure chests, parrot, treasure map, and lots of fun sentiments. One of my favorite places to find layouts is Page Maps, which is where I got the layout for my first card of the Hop.
It almost looks like that treasure chest fell overboard and is floating in the ocean!

I've decided to make a gift card holder for each stamp set this month. There's always an occasion where a gift card is the only choice. My 4-year old grandson's birthday is this week, so I thought today's set would be appropriate. I tried a flap card for this holder, using the parrot as my focal image. The D'vine Swirls embossing folder sort-of looks like ocean waves.
Here is the inside of the card -- showing a gift card tucked in the "pouch." And, as you can see, "X" marks the spot!
Here is the rest of the team, with links to their blogs. I'm sure you'll find some more "cuteness" at each stop along the way.
