I had the most trouble with today's project -- the Glass Blocks. I envisioned a nice little scene in my mind, but when I transferred it onto the block, it didn't look the same as it did in my head. I'm not sure I got the background painting done correctly. If I ever try this again, I may dab the acrylic paint onto the block rather than painting it on. At any rate, here is my first attempt.
So, I decided to try it again -- on the other side, with much the same result with the painting.
Be sure to check out the other participants today to see if they had better luck than I did.
Thanks again for stopping by today. Tomorrow is the last day, and I hope you'll check out the final project in our Christmas in July celebration.

Like the painting on the blocks. I need a lot of practice at painting and think you did a wonderful job.

Lois--both of these Christmas glass block luminaries are gorgeous! Thanks so much for helping make the Christmas in July blog hop a success!
ReplyDeleteYour glass projects turned out lovely, Lois! I especially like the second one!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of them. Your scene is nice and looks like a cold winter day. The pine cone side looks like wood grain, which is perfect.
ReplyDeletemmmm....can't pick a fave. Your winter scene is so pretty but I like the woodsy look of the pinecones.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I love the pine cone one. I have a den decorated in the lodge look with pine cones. I hope to get to try this technique. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I've never seen such wonderful painting and very creative artwork just like this one.
