It's funny, I've had this Heartfelt Creations set for about a year, having never inked it up; and now I've used it twice in three days -- first time with a trumpet, this time with a guitar.
I stamped and then masked the guitar before stamping the background over (or rather, behind it). With the exception of the red/white polka dot paper, the DP is from Basic Grey. This also qualifies for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges challenge -- to use polka dots on your card.
Cardstock, Basic Grey DP, and Palette ink available at Mark's Finest Papers.
The first card I made using this same set was my sample for Faith’s “Ring in the New Year” challenge (an impromptu New Year's Eve party on SCS) – use something on your card that rings, makes noise, or an actual ring. I combined it with this week’s Color Challenge to use Barely Banana/Dusty Durango (Really Rust)/Basic Gray and one neutral. I stamped the background music with Basic Gray onto Barely Banana and matted it with Basic Gray. The Basic Grey DP looked pretty close to Really Rust, as did the ribbon. The cut-out trumpet is colored with Copic markers and mounted with pop dots. I added a little trumpet charm from Mark’s Finest Papers as “dessert.” (That’s what Betty called it – a dessert option.)
Love them both, Lois! They are both fabulous, but the guitar, with its polkadots, bright colors and graphic prints is my FAV!
ReplyDeletethey are both fab, but must say that IC one is outstanding....really captured the inspiration piece/site
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I love their musical theme! Great job with the C4C Challenge!

These are so cheerful. Funny that I do also have stamps that are still sitting inside the storage and don't get a chance to use them, lol
