I have had so much fun playing with the new Karen Burniston Surprise Ball Pop-Up -- so much so that I have made place holders for each of my guests at Thanksgiving. Two of these guests are children: my 11-year-old grandson William and 3-year-old great granddaughter Ariah.
William is a HUGE Spiderman fan. I had purchased some Spiderman patterned paper several months ago, anticipating that I would make a card for him at some point. The time has come.
As you can see, I used the Flap and Closure die on all four sides of the card. When you untie the twine, up pops the ball.
I hand-drew the spiderwebs and cut out the eyes, attaching them strategically.
Ariah's card is Cookie Monster (or at least my version of Cookie Monster).
I had to google "cookies" and "blue fur" to get the background papers for this card.
I had some large googlie eyes, which were perfect. I also cut a mouth and a piece of cookie to complete the card.
I've made some other Thanksgiving place holders using the Surprise Ball Pop-Up, which I'll be blogging about in the near future.
Thanks for stopping at my blog. Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win the $25 gift certificate. Here is the blog hop line-up:
